ดีแทค ไตรเน็ต ยื่นชำระค่าใบอนุญาตจากการประมูลคลื่น 1800 MHz ที่ประมูลชนะในราคา 12,511 ล้านบาท โดยชำระงวดแรก ร้อยละ 50 หรือจำนวน 6,693.385 ล้านบาท แก่ กสทช. เพื่อนำส่งรายได้ให้กับรัฐเรียบร้อย ดีแทคมั่นใจพร้อมเดินหน้าให้บริการลูกค้าทั่วประเทศ คลื่นครบลุยเต็มที่ทุกย่านความถี่นางอเล็กซานดรา ไรช์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท โทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซ็ส คอมมูนิเคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือดีแทค กล่าวว่า “เราจะนำคลื่น 1800 MHz ที่ชนะจากการประมูลมาให้บริการลูกค้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยในช่วงแรกมีแผนจะนำคลื่น 1800 MHz มาให้บริการรองรับลูกค้า 2G ที่ยังมีฐานลูกค้าเป็นจำนวนมาก และวางแผนจะนำคลื่นความถี่ดังกล่าวมาใช้เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพโครงข่ายบริการ 4G ตอบสนองการใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตบนมือถือที่เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วต่อไป ขณะนี้ดีแทคสามารถให้บริการครอบคลุมทุกย่านความถี่บนคลื่นทั้งหมดจำนวน 110 MHz โดยแบ่งเป็น คลื่น 900 MHz จำนวน 10 MHz, คลื่น 1800 MHz จำนวน 10 MHz, คลื่น 2100 MHz จำนวน 30 MHz และคลื่น 2300 MHz จำนวน 60 MHz ของทีโอทีที่ดีแทคเป็นพันธมิตรในการให้บริการ”

สำหรับใบอนุญาตคลื่นความถี่ 1800 MHz ที่บริษัท ดีแทค ไตรเน็ต จำกัด ประมูลชนะในราคา 12,511 ล้านบาท นั้นมีจำนวน 1 ชุด รวม 2 x 5 MHz ในช่วงคลื่นความถี่ 1745 – 1750 MHz คู่กับ 1840 – 1845 MHz และมีอายุการใช้งาน 15 ปี  หรือจนถึงปี พ.ศ. 2576 สำหรับการชำระเงินค่าใบอนุญาตคลื่น 1800 MHz จะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 งวด งวดแรกชำระ 50% ของราคาที่ชนะการประมูล งวดที่ 2 ชำระ 25% และงวดที่ 3 ชำระอีก 25% ในปีต่อไปตามลำดับ“ที่ผ่านมาดีแทคได้นำส่งเงินค่าใบอนุญาตคลื่น 2100 MHz ที่ประมูลในปี พ.ศ. 2555 จำนวน 13,500 ล้านบาท ครบถ้วนตามกำหนดเรียบร้อย และนอกจากค่าใบอนุญาตคลื่น 1800 MHz จำนวน 12,511 ล้านบาทที่ดีแทคมาชำระงวดแรก จำนวน 6,693.385 ล้านบาท เรียบร้อยแล้ว ดีแทคจะนำเงินมาชำระค่าใบอนุญาตคลื่น 900 MHzที่ประมูลล่าสุดมูลค่า 38,064 ล้านบาท โดยดีแทคจะชำระงวดแรกจำนวน 4,020 ล้านบาท แก่ กสทช. เป็นลำดับต่อไปตามข้อกำหนดในการประมูล” นางอเล็กซานดรา กล่าวในที่สุด

dtac TriNet pays first 1800 MHz license fee installment of 6.69 billion baht to NBTC

dtac TriNet paid the first installment of the 1800 MHz spectrum license fee to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The first payment is 6,693,385,000 baht, or half the total license fee of 12.511 billion baht. With a complete spectrum portfolio including both low-band and high-band licenses, dtac is now confident it will deliver a strong network experience to customers across the country.

Mrs. Alexandra Reich, Chief Executive Officer, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, said, “We will use the 1800 MHz spectrum acquired through the auction to support our large remaining 2G subscriber base and to enhance our 4G network efficiency. The extra capacity allows us to keep up with the rapid growth of mobile internet demand and perfectly complements our portfolio. dtac now provides mobile services across 110 MHz of spectrum bandwidth in all frequency bands, including 10 MHz on 900 MHz, 10 MHz on 1800 MHz, 30 MHz on 2100 MHz, and 60 MHz on 2300 MHz through a partnership with TOT.”

The 1800 MHz spectrum license that dtac TriNet acquired at auction includes 2×5 MHz in the range of 1745 – 1750 MHz, paired with 1840 – 1845 MHz. dtac will pay the 15-year license, valid until 2033, in three installments. The first payment is 50 percent of the license fee, the second payment is 25 percent, due in 2019, as is the third and final payment, due in 2020.

“dtac has already paid the full 13.5 billion baht of the 2100 MHz spectrum license acquired in 2012. In addition to the first installment of the 1800 MHz license fee, dtac is also preparing to make the first payment of 4.020 billion baht—out of a total amount of 38.064 billion baht—for the 900 MHz license fee, in compliance with the auction requirements,” said Alexandra.
